A Fine English Regency patinated bronze mounted Blue John urn. British, circa: 1810-1820.
The fine English bronze mounted hardstone urn is carved from the stone * Blue John found only Derbyshire England. The Egg-form solid carved specimen of Blue John is mounted and supported by three eagles, each raised upon a claw footed leg. Each leg rests upon a central circular beaded base and stepped plinth.
Now equipt with a later 19th century ormolu chain link which is removable. The gilt bronze Six section chain link is raised and connected by Six central ormolu rings.
