A fine rench Empire style ormolu or gilt bronze mounted obelisk. French, circa: 1890-1900. Measuring: 11.5" high. Weight: 8 pounds.
The neoclassical form sculpture is that of an Obelisk. A cube of cut crystal resting on an ormolu base, suports four spheres in gilt bronze supporting a tall pyramid of cut crystal. The cyrstal most probably attributed to the Baccarat factories of the period. |
